Parts of the House: A Spanish Vocabulary Unit Study - Sticky Note Exercise 02

Once the flashcards have been worked over a few times, it´s time to embark on an adventure! it doesn't matter whether you´re learning Spanish yourself or teaching your children. This is a great activity to connect the words on the page to real life.

1. Print out the vocab list from below. Fold it up and stick it in a back pocket.
2. Grab a pad of sticky notes and a pen. (For children, give them their own colored sticky note pad and pen.) Then , take a walk-through tour of your home.
3. Test yourself or your kids as you come to each room:
What's this room called in Spanish?
What's the wall called?
 How about the door?
Who can find "el antena?"
Walk outside and quiz about the mail box, the garden, the sidewalk. Stick a note to everything you can remember -- and especially for the ones you can't! Don't be too eager to check the cheat sheet in you pocket.
4. Write down the sticky notes until everything is labeled.
5. If, by chance, you find an object that isn't on the cheat sheet, write it down. When you come back to study, look up that object's name in the dictionary.

This is a great exercise for kinesthetic learners -- that's is, those people and children that learn by doing and touching!

Y a rodolfo eligio

Y desde aquel momento
Toda burla se acabo
